Our
church vision:
To
develop a church
community where dynamic life-changing transformation is
experienced
through the truth of God’s word, the grace available through Christ
Jesus
and the power of the Holy Spirit!
Abundant
Grace has an interactive service with a congregational involvement
format:
1.
We
encourage open worship through the active
participation of all church members in worship services. We believe
audible,
uninhibited public worship is an appropriate expression of our joy in
the Lord and
encourages people to enjoy a rich and intimate experience of God.
2. We advocate courteous
and respectful open sharing by all members of
the congregation during the service. (We believe traditional services,
in which all communication is pre-planned and centralized at the
pulpit, deters believers from sharing fully in each other's lives and
in the life of the congregation)
3. We are committed to supporting
opportunities
for development of individual ministry so that each member of the
congregation is
able to participate in the ministry he or she is called to
whether
within the
church or outside of it.
4. We
believe that as we
allow and encourage active lay-ministry
participation in the services and other activities the Holy
Spirit will produce the individual spiritual growth necessary in
Christians
to minister to others in their daily lives.
5.
Pastors have a
significant role in the church, and we
strongly support them in the authority of their call from God to
shepherd His people. We believe their function should be, primarily,
to equip the saints for the work of
ministry.
We are a Psalm 107
Church
We
will give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and
his wonderful deeds for men,
for
he satisfies the thirsty
and
fills the hungry with good things.
We will sacrifice thank offerings
and tell of his works with songs of joy...
...and
we will exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
(Derived from Psalm 107)

Our
Beliefs:
We
believe in one
eternal God who exists as three separate persons; the Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.
We
believe the bible
to be the inspired word of God, infallible and authoritative.
We
believe that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God who came to earth, died for our sins, and rose
again. Through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead,
we
are now free from the curse of sin and death.
We
believe it is
essential for man to repent of his sin and by faith receive God’s grace
through the finished work of Christ for the salvation of his soul.
We
believe that by
this same grace, the Holy Spirit continues to sanctify our soul, making
righteous living possible as we are increasingly conformed to the image
of Christ, who is our model for holy living.

Our
Worship:
Our
praise and worship songs are a mix of contemporary songs and songs
created as the Spirit gives us
illumination at the moment. There
will not always be a prepared sermon; our
sermon may be the Lord
speaking through us individually and corporately as we worship Him.
In addition to
praising and
worshipping the Lord by singing prearranged songs - we look to the
Holy Spirit for the spontaneous form of praise and worship that God
desires for us
to
express, whether it be in word, instrument, song, or other
presentation.
Our desire is to
follow the momentary leading of the
Holy Spirit in
worship, that we might, most effectively and directly, respond to the
immediate will of God for this body of believers and His purpose
through us.

About
the Pastor:
Jericho Ministry was founded in 1995 with Pastor R.
Thomas Brass serving as a
spiritual counselor at
Minnesota
Teen Challenge, Love Lines Crisis Center and ministering to clients
seen at the church office throughout the week.
Now,
God has placed
in Tom’s heart a vision to share the life-giving message of
transforming
grace through Abundant Grace Church. Tom's qualifications for
ministry are not through
achievement in academic institutions but entirely by God's calling and
God's grace!
