Abundant
Grace has an interactive service with a congregational involvement
format:
1. We
encourage open worship through the active
participation of all church members in worship services. We believe
audible,
uninhibited public worship is an appropriate expression of our joy in
the Lord and
encourages people to enjoy a rich and intimate experience of God.
2. We advocate courteous
and respectful open sharing by all members of
the congregation during the service. (We believe traditional services,
in which all communication is pre-planned and centralized at the
pulpit, deters believers from sharing fully in each other's lives and
in the life of the congregation)
3. We are committed to supporting
opportunities
for development of individual ministry so that each member of the
congregation is
able to participate in the ministry he or she is called to, whether
within the
church or outside of it.
4. Pastors have a very
significant role in the church, and we
strongly support them in the authority of their call from God to
shepherd His people. We believe their function should be to primarily
equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
Our
church vision:
To
develop a church
community where dynamic life-changing transformation is
experienced
through the truth of God’s word, the grace available through Christ
Jesus
and the power of the Holy Spirit!
Our
mission:
First:
To
resolutely embrace the miraculous transformation of the soul available
to us by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Second:
To
steadfastly surrender to this process of sanctification allowing the
Holy
Spirit to develop within us Christ-like character and godly inspiration
in the use of our creative giftings.
Third:
To
go out into our own communities and illustrate through Spirit-led
applications
of God’s giftings, the abundance of God’s grace for the
salvation
of souls.
Our
Beliefs:
We
believe in one
eternal God who exists as three separate persons; the Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.
We
believe the bible
to be the inspired word of God, infallible and authoritative.
We
believe that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God who came to earth, died for our sins, and rose
again. Through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead,
we
are now free from the curse of sin and death.
We
believe it is
essential for man to repent of his sin and by faith receive God’s grace
through the finished work of Christ for the salvation of his soul.
We
believe that by
this same grace, the Holy Spirit continues to sanctify our soul, making
righteous living possible as we are increasingly conformed to the image
of Christ, who is our model for holy living.

our beliefs, click here: Christian
doctrine page
Our
Worship:
Our
praise and worship songs are a mix of contemporary songs and songs
created as the Spirit gives us
illumination at the moment. There
will not always be a prepared sermon; our
sermon may be the Lord
speaking through us individually and corporately as we worship Him.
In addition to
praising and
worshipping the Lord by singing prearranged songs - we look to the
Holy Spirit for the form of praise and worship that God desires for us
to
express, whether it be in word, instrument, song, or other
presentation.
Our desire is to
follow the momentary leading of the
Holy Spirit in
worship, that we might, most effectively and directly, respond to the
immediate will of God for this body of believers and His purpose
through us.
Our open ministry vision:
1. We
believe that it is God’s desire to raise up Christian leadership to
establish Spirit-led open ministry throughout the
Minneapolis/St.
Paul metropolitan area.
2. One
of our goals at
Abundant Grace Church is to facilitate the
fulfillment of this vision through ongoing discipleship and ministry
opportunities within this church.
3. We
believe that as we
allow and encourage active lay-ministry
participation in the services and activities of this church the Holy
Spirit will produce the individual spiritual growth necessary in
Christians to assume ministerial leadership positions.
4. We
support active
lay-ministry, whether attached or unattached to
the organized church as an essential ingredient for the development of
Christian leadership qualities.
5. By
the Spirit’s leading
we will support and send forth
ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to begin Spirit-led
ministry for
the purpose of bringing glory to God.

Power
of Grace
Prayer Night -
Power
of Grace is a Spirit-led
ministry of prayer, focused on forcefully advancing God’s kingdom by
the
leading and power of the Holy Spirit through prayers for spiritual
victory, personal encouragement and emotional
and physical healing.
Just
as it is vitally important for
believers to individually seek the Lord on a regular and personal
basis, this
body of believers is available to support that relationship through
prayer and
inspiration.
Because
prayer is essential during
times of contentment as well as during times of difficulty in our
lives, we
believe there are significant benefits to receiving prayer support
during every
season of
our lives.
If you desire
personal prayer
ministry, come meet with us on July 17th - 6:00pm to
8:30pm)
This year's adult retreat at Eagles
Rest, 30 minutes north of Brainerd, will be from Friday
morning September 26th through Sunday the 28th - 1PM.
About
the Pastor:
God
led R. Thomas Brass to establish
Jericho Ministry in 1995 and serve as a spiritual counselor at
Minnesota
Teen Challenge, Love Lines Crisis Center, and with clients seen at the
home office for Pastoral
Counseling. Many
lives have been
transformed by the power of the Holy
Spirit
through this ministry!
Now,
God has placed
in Tom’s heart a vision to share the life-giving message of
transforming
grace through Abundant Grace Church. Tom's qualifications for
ministry are not through
achievement in academic institutions but entirely by God's calling and
God's grace!
